About

Charles Del Rosso was born in a small suburb of Pittsburgh, which is also the hometown of two other well-known entertainers, Perry Como and Bobby Vinton.

After moving to New Jersey, Charles developed his love for the performing arts while attending Jefferson Township. High School.  During that time, he starred in many musical/drama productions and became interested in the “Art of Magic” through a friend’s father, who was a well-known professional magician (and also taught a young David Copperfield, with whom Charles became friends).

By the end of high school, Charles had become a well-known professional magician in the NJ/NY area and had won many talent competitions.   It was while attending Fairleigh Dickinson University that Charles, at the age of 20, won top prize in “The Bob Hope Search for the Top in Collegiate Talent” national competition, performing his award-winning magic act. As a result, Charles made his first of many television appearances as Mr. Hope’s guest on “The Mike Douglas Show” in 1978.

Almost five decades later, Charles is regarded as a professional entertainer of the highest caliber.  He has been appearing on stage at some of New York City’s top society affairs and exclusive nightspots as well as performing for country clubs, colleges, and many of the country’s leading corporations.

Beginning in the mid 90’s,  Charles began presenting his one-man show entitled “Out of Your Mind”.  His public performances at the 12 Miles West Theatre in Montclair sold out quickly and proved to be a critical success. By popular demand, he was asked back for repeat engagements for 5 consecutive years, ending in 2003.

Having studied piano since the age of 8, Charles is an accomplished pianist and vocalist as well, playing a diverse repertoire of music ranging from classical, show tunes, popular songs, jazz, and ragtime.  His musical selections and unique piano stylings are a perfect complement for a fine dining atmosphere.

Charles has appeared weekly as a solo musical artist at several of the area’s most well-known restaurants and clubs for the last 50 years, and is in constant demand to perform for private parties and cocktail hours.
Charles lives in nearby Totowa with his wife and has two grown daughters and three granddaughters.
